Senior Java Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems using Java technology stack.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and agile development methodologies. They should also have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and developing high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements
  • Collaborating with product owners to gather requirements and define project scope
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing software systems to ensure they remain relevant and efficient
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior developers
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Java development, preferably in an enterprise environment
  • Strong understanding of Java programming language, including its syntax, semantics, and best practices
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and other popular Java frameworks and tools
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and Scrum framework
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with testing frameworks, such as JUnit and TestNG
