Job Details:

This is a full-time position requiring a Veterinarian with expertise in swine health, working closely with pig farms to ensure herd health and educate farmers on best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat diseases in swine populations, ensuring animal welfare and farm productivity.
  • Develop and implement biosecurity and vaccination protocols to prevent outbreaks and control infectious diseases.
  • Provide medical services to pigs, including health assessments and treatments.
  • Educate farmers and farm staff on best practices in swine health, including nutrition, housing, sanitation, and reproduction.
  • Monitor farm performance data and recommend interventions to boost productivity.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Licensed Veterinarian.
  • 2+ years of experience in swine veterinary care or livestock-focused practice preferred.
  • Knowledge of swine production systems, herd management, and disease prevention.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to drive.
  • Able to travel 80% of the time.
