Job Summary:
This role involves working closely with pig farms to ensure herd health, perform preventive care, diagnose and treat disease, and educate farmers on best practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in swine production, strong communication skills, and a dedication to improving both animal welfare and farm productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform health assessments, diagnose, and treat diseases in swine populations
  • Develop and implement biosecurity and vaccination protocols to prevent outbreaks and control infectious diseases
  • Conduct regular on-site farm visits to assess herd health and provide medical services
  • Educate farmers and farm staff on best practices in swine health, including nutrition, housing, sanitation, and reproduction through seminars and events
  • Monitor farm performance data of customers and recommend interventions to boost productivity.
  • Stay informed on industry standards, disease trends, and advances in swine veterinary medicine, applying new knowledge to improve care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Licensed Veterinarian.
  • 2+ years of experience in swine veterinary care or livestock-focused practice preferred (new graduates with swine interest are encouraged to apply).
  • Knowledge of swine production systems, herd management, and disease prevention.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and consult effectively with farm managers and staff.
  • Able to drive
  • Able to travel 80% of the time in Luzon.
