Accounting Specialist Position

Our organization is seeking a skilled and meticulous accounting specialist to manage various financial tasks. This role plays a vital part in closing month-end accounts, reconciling payroll transactions, making year-end adjustments, and handling bookkeeping for new customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Categorize daily financial transactions within our company's accounting system.
  • Perform thorough reconciliation of financial records to ensure consistency with bank statements.
  • Execute Year-End Reconciliation, payroll reconciliation, merchant fee adjustments, and revenue timing adjustments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to resolve queries and facilitate timely book closures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with support and accounting departments for efficient task completion.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent practical experience in the field.
  • At least one year of experience in executing month-end financial closes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, emphasizing clarity and precision in all interactions.
  • Demonstrated analytical acumen, ensuring detailed and accurate financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working remotely.
  • Familiarity with tax requirements for sole proprietors and S-Corps, along with the ability to apply this knowledge to specific bookkeeping demands.
