We are a business process outsourcing (BPO) company that provides a range of services from call centre and customer service to software development, with a focus on people and culture.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Junior Accountant are:

  • Overseeing Accounting Operations: Manage all daily accounting functions, including expenses, fixed assets, leasing, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.
  • Managing Subsidiary Accounting: Supervise accounting activities for subsidiaries and work directly with third-party accounting firms.
  • Ensuring Financial Accuracy: Review and analyze intercompany accounts, post subsidiary trial balances, and perform variance analysis to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Handling Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and manage audits and filings for subsidiaries.
  • Improving Processes: Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing solutions to enhance accounting processes and provide support for various ad hoc projects.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Junior Accountant role will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree or CPA certification being a plus.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a BPO or service company, and a background with an international company is a must.
  • Must have a strong grasp of US GAAP, financial controls, and working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports.
  • Needs to be able to work effectively with all levels of management and motivate others outside of their direct control.
  • Possesses strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities and a flexible attitude towards changing priorities.
