Key Job Responsibilities

The Head of Credit will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining credit risk policies and procedures tailored to real estate transactions. This includes residential, commercial and mixed-use properties.

Aligning credit strategies with the company's investment and development goals is also key. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics.

  • Develop and maintain credit risk policies and procedures
  • Assess borrower creditworthiness and approve or escalate credit decisions based on risk thresholds and financial analysis
  • Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio and identify emerging risks
  • Implement mitigation strategies to ensure proper risk grading and timely reporting of potential problem loans
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 8-10+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in real estate or top financial institutions
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills
