Job Title: Outpatient Trainer

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting medical coding education for new and existing medical coders. This is a dynamic role that requires a deep understanding of medical coding principles and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs for medical coders, including curriculum development and training syllabus creation.
  • Maintain knowledge of ICD 10 CM, ICD 10 PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices.
  • Assist in the development of modules for medical coding and billing training, including periodic updates and policy changes.
  • Provide ongoing support and feedback to coders, including training and review sessions, to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes related to internal and external customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical or Allied Medical field or equivalent work experience.
  • CPC certification from AAPC or CCS certification from AHIMA.
  • Proficient with Revenue Cycle Management, E/M, and Procedure Coding.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance.
