Strategic Commercial Analyst

The ideal candidate will be data-driven and strategic, supporting the commercial team to optimize business performance by analyzing key metrics, providing actionable insights, and guiding decision-making across product portfolio, marketing effectiveness, and customer engagement. The role combines responsibilities for a Commercial Planning Manager with a Senior Business Analyst, focusing on translating complex data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate product performance across various metrics to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
- Provide recommendations for portfolio optimization, including product introductions or discontinuations.
- Analyze marketing campaigns to assess ROI and overall effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine strategies based on analytical insights.
- Utilize customer feedback and data to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
- Define frameworks to measure operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to drive operational optimization, enhance supplier collaborations, and improve overall commercial efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Present insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification preferred.
- 2–7 years of experience in business analysis / commercial planning, preferably within the FMCG sector or a consulting firm.
- High proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
