Senior UX Research and Strategy Manager

Job Description:

The User Research and Insights Lead will use their skills and knowledge in a wide range of research methods to understand customers' mindsets, behaviors, and expectations.

They will make use of various research methodologies to inspire and shape company-wide strategy for product development.

This role requires a track record of conducting user and market research, analyzing data, and developing actionable insights that inform business decisions.

Responsibilities include designing and executing surveys, analyzing secondary data, and preparing research reports.

Candidates must be able to create understanding and empathy around user needs, stated and unstated, for the entire team.

They should have at least 3 years' experience in user and/or market research and be responsible for identifying emerging opportunities for improving the customer experience.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders from project start to finish, assessing the best methodology, and communicating insights in creative and compelling ways.

The ideal candidate will have excellent research skills, familiarity with a wide range of methods, and proven ability to triangulate to establish an impactful insights narrative.

They will also be fluent with visual storytelling and other communication tools that enable persuasive communication of findings to a non-technical audience.

Experience in research for credit-related products, including credit cards, secured and unsecured loans, is preferred. A background in mixed-methods user research and digital banking, financial services, investments, or financial education is also beneficial.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Statistics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in an applied research setting
  • Excellent research skills and familiarity with a wide range of methods
  • Proven ability to work up to peer review standards
  • Fluency with visual storytelling and other communication tools
  • Proficiency in creating research reporting artefacts such as customer journey maps, personas, research reports, design workshops
