Freight Coordinator Job Description

This role involves coordinating common shipments via ground or courier service, including compilation of necessary documentation and daily tracking to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data entry duties.

  • Track and trace packages, notifying Team Lead of concerns or problems.
  • Assist customers with shipping and customs needs by providing quotes based on freight forwarding experience.

Collaborate closely with internal staff to maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the system. Work seamlessly with operations team members to ensure smooth processes and proficient use of MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and email for effective communication.

Key Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and logistics is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Deductive reasoning and critical problem-solving skills are crucial for this role.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and conversational, are necessary.
Nice to Have:
  • Cargowise knowledge/experience would be an asset.
  • Experience in Canadian/US FTL & LTL Trucking industry would also be beneficial.
