Job Description

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based infrastructure using OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage. This position requires expertise in Python software development and the ability to apply devsecops practices from bare metal to application level.

This is a globally remote role, with opportunities to work on high-pressure operations environments with mission-critical services for global brand name customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux, Linux networking and storage, and operational experience.

In this role, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and operate cloud environments with hundreds of private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters. You will also be responsible for gaining experience in a broad range of cloud technologies and staying current with open source infrastructure advancements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage infrastructure.
  • Apply Python software development skills to operations domain, practicing devsecops from bare metal to application.
  • Operate cloud environments with hundreds of private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters.
  • Approach operations as a science, relying on metrics and code.
  • Work in high-pressure operations environment with mission-critical services.
  • Gain experience in broad range of cloud technologies.
Requirements
  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage.
