Job Overview

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team as Science Educators. This role involves delivering engaging science learning experiences during our mobile science experience, SpaceCon.

As a member of our dynamic team, you will work collaboratively to bring space, Earth, and modern science topics directly to schools across the country.

The role requires traveling to different locations to facilitate SpaceCon events, ensuring that communities have access to quality science education programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Interactive Science Discussions: Engage students in face-to-face science and/or math discussions during SpaceCon events.
  • Operate STEM-Based Equipment: Operate interactive science-based equipment, tools, and digital programs.
  • Collaborate with Fellow Educators: Work with fellow educators to create and implement interdisciplinary learning activities.
  • Contribute to Educational Content Planning: Contribute to educational content planning, including visual aids and multimedia support.
  • Enhance Teaching Skills: Attend training sessions to enhance teaching and communication skills.
  • Stay Updated on Science Trends: Stay updated on science trends and topics to ensure content quality and relevance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • STEM Degree Required: Graduate of any science-related course (e.g., Astronomy, General Science, Education).
  • Licensed Professional Teachers: Licensed Professional Teachers (LPTs) are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Creative Thinker: Creative thinker and problem-solver.
  • Tech-Savvy: Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new technologies and science tools.
  • Design Skills: Knowledge of Canva or similar design platforms is an advantage.
  • Fitness for Mobile Learning: Physically and mentally fit to travel and work in mobile learning environments.
  • Passion for Science Education: Passionate about science education and outreach.
