Lead Tax Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and analytical professional to manage our tax compliance function.

This role will work closely with partners to oversee the preparation of tax returns. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who can operate autonomously while managing a team to ensure accountability and knowledge up-skilling.

  • Manage staff and review tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Prepare and review complex individual and business returns.
  • Assist staff with diagnosing issues in tax software.
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight to junior team members.
  • Directly communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates.
  • Able to respond to notices received from tax authorities.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with tax return preparation and review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
