Dental Claims Specialist

Job Description:
  • We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our customers.
  • The Dental Claims Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing claims, resolving issues, and providing support to our clients while upholding our commitment to quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up status of outstanding insurance claims, ensuring all follow-ups are properly documented and communicated.
  • Send out claims and attachments to insurance.
  • Determine denial validity and address them accordingly.
  • Generate OI reports and ensure timely completion.
  • Claim resubmission and reprocessing, including grievances and appeals.
  • Clear rejected claims on a weekly basis.
  • Update the office tracker with payments posted and rejected claims addressed.
  • Complete all assigned follow-ups on the office spreadsheets.
  • Generate EFT reports and retrieve EOBs from insurance portals for posting.
  • Post insurance payments according to office preference, upload EOBs, and apply corrections as needed.
  • Identify any insurance process updates or issues and communicate findings with the team.

Requirements:

  • Strong command of verbal and written English and interpersonal skills.
  • Background in the dental insurance or collections industries.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on collections experience.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote position.
  • Outstanding organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • HMO with 1 free dependent upon hire (with dental coverage).
