Job Overview:

The Solar Design Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting both sales and installation operations by ensuring solar designs account for customer preferences, company policies, as well as local, state, and national codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing aerial imagery and web-based software to create 3D models of homes and their surroundings
  • Generating custom proposals that show customers the expected panel layout and solar production of their system

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience with designing and/or constructing solar electric systems is preferred
  • Working knowledge of residential electrical and roofing standards is preferred
  • National Electrical Code and local building codes are a plus
  • NABCEP certification is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software is a plus
  • AutoCad skills are a plus

About This Role:

This position is part of the Proposal Design team, which is the primary line of design support for the sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed solar designs that meet customer needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
