Network Security Engineer Role

Job Description:

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Leverage Panorama for centralized firewall management across multiple client environments.
  • Handle Prisma Access-related tasks as part of broader firewall management responsibilities.
  • Assist with security policy configuration and address break-fix issues.
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for networking issues, focusing on routing, switching, and connectivity.
  • Respond to ISP outages and coordinate with ISPs for ticketing and issue resolution.
  • Use basic CCNA-level knowledge to handle Layer 2 networking tasks, including switch troubleshooting and MAC address tracing.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess expertise in Palo Alto firewalls and have experience in managing and maintaining network security systems. Additionally, they should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
