Job Summary

This is a highly skilled position that involves delivering high-quality tax compliance services to clients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in individual and business taxation, including income tax returns, BASs, IASs, and fringe benefits tax.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Tax Returns: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and complete tax returns for individuals and businesses, including lodgement with the relevant authorities.
  • Tax Planning: The role will involve providing advice on tax minimization strategies and planning for clients, including reviewing financial data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Financial Statements: The candidate will prepare financial statements for businesses operating through companies and trusts, including groups with inter-entity transactions.
  • Payroll Processing: The role includes processing payroll for clients, including calculations, lodging, and managing associated compliance requirements.
  • Bookkeeping: The successful candidate will perform bookkeeping tasks for clients, including data entry, reconciliations, and management of accounting records.
  • Client Management: The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and expectations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: A degree in finance or accounting, and/or certification as a CPA or CA is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work accurately under pressure.
