Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst

Cyber security analysts are tasked with safeguarding an organization's digital assets and information against cyber threats and attacks. This role requires expertise in assessing security risks, developing and implementing effective security measures, and maintaining a vigilant stance against potential breaches to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Threat Analysis and Monitoring: Analyze potential security threats by monitoring system logs, network traffic, and security tools; stay updated on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response: Respond swiftly to security incidents, investigate breaches, and provide timely resolutions. Develop incident-response plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate and recover from reported security breaches.
  • Conduct assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications; develop strategies for remediating vulnerabilities and minimizing potential risks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; college-level coursework in information technology and computer science, with minimum 1 year experience.
  • Fundamental log analysis and troubleshooting skills; strong understanding of networking protocols and operating systems; ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to evolving cyber threats.
  • Excellent communication skills — ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advantageous to have technical certifications in relevant areas such as CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, MCP, and MCTS, LINUX+, CompTIA Security+.
