The ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT will assist the Senior Accountant with various accounting tasks, including financial and statutory reporting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Assisting with statutory reporting, including BAS, FBT, Superannuation Returns, and Payroll Tax Returns
  • Performing end-of-month processes, including recurring journals, accruals & depreciation calculations, and WIP calculations
  • Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Providing support with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks
  • Assisting with annual financial budgets and forecasts
  • Liaising with outsourced payroll office and checking weekly payroll

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Accountancy or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with at least 1 year of experience in Australian accounting
