Senior Bookkeeper Opportunity

As a seasoned bookkeeper, you will lead key initiatives, guide junior team members, and maintain operational excellence. Your expertise will ensure seamless financial operations, meeting deadlines for month-end close.

About the Role
  • You will oversee onboarding and cleanup projects, mentoring junior colleagues to refine their skills.
  • Lead AP and AR processes: invoice preparation, approval workflows, and reconciliation.
  • Manage new client onboarding and cleanup workflows efficiently.
  • Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and process documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP and internal standards.
  • Train and coach junior team members, serving as escalation contact.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and meet all deadlines for month-end close.
  • Collaborate with the Pod Lead to execute onboarding plans.
  • Communicate effectively via email and Slack using alias accounts.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Strong leadership capability and mentoring experience.
  • Track record of creating or refining SOPs and efficient workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
