Description:
  • We seek a skilled Real Estate Accountant to manage and maintain financial records for properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • The ideal candidate will utilize software like Appfolio for financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports, as well as conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • This role also involves reconciling bank statements and ensuring proper recording of transactions, while monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of real estate assets.
  • In addition, the successful applicant will assist with tax return preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations, while coordinating with property managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support.
  • This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting is necessary.
  • Proficiency in software like Appfolio and other accounting tools is essential.
