A Data Operations Specialist is a crucial member of an organization's data management team. They play a vital role in ensuring seamless access, analysis, and decision-making across the organization.

The Data Operations Specialist bridges the gap between technical data teams and business operations by designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient controls of data processing systems.

This involves managing existing data pipelines to collect data from ingestion, processing, and distribution across different systems, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.

The specialist also analyzes operational processes to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, maintains and troubleshoots data and reporting systems, and manages existing BAU automated processes.

To excel in this role, candidates should have a graduate degree in IT or Computer Science and 3-5 years of experience in data operations. They should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
