Job Title: Strategic Supply Chain Manager

The role of the Strategic Supply Chain Manager involves overseeing the strategic management of the supply base, ensuring a continuous flow of materials to support global manufacturing activities. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies focused on cost optimization, supplier management, technology selection, and supply chain improvements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the supply base through regular reviews, supplier performance monitoring, relationship management, root cause analysis, and improvement plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to analyze spend, develop and implement spend management strategies, and proactively manage suppliers.
  • Monitor market conditions, technology developments, supply chain capacity, and demand challenges, bridging trends to procurement levels.
  • Guide the selection and management of strategic suppliers to meet cost and performance goals.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with global suppliers to maximize benefits.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Management, Business (Supply Chain), Operations, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commodity/supply chain management, including supplier evaluation, sourcing, and logistics.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Understanding of legal and ethical purchasing practices.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence applications in supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory reduction methods.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems.
