Senior Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled automation engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with UI and API automation, as well as a strong understanding of software development principles.

• The selected candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing a reliable and scalable automation framework.

• They will also be expected to automate tests to ensure functional requirements and performance KPIs are met.

• In addition, the candidate will need to identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.

• Finally, they will be responsible for performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

B.S. or MS in Computer Science or related field: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field is required.

• 8+ years of experience with UI Automation tools such as Selenium: The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience working with UI automation tools like Selenium.

• Knowledge and experience with ROBOT automation framework using Python: The candidate should have knowledge and experience with the ROBOT automation framework using Python.

• 3+ years of experience working with Python and/or J2EE technology or equivalent OOP paradigm: The selected candidate will need to have at least 3 years of experience working with Python and/or J2EE technology or an equivalent OOP paradigm.

• Experience with automating test validation either via API or through database using Snowflake, HIVE or AWS Athena: Experience with automating test validation either via API or through database using Snowflake, HIVE or AWS Athena is highly desirable.

• Knowledgeable in Git workflows like branching, merging, and conflict resolution: The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in Git workflows like branching, merging, and conflict resolution.

• Understanding of Agile testing methodologies required: Understanding of Agile testing methodologies is required.

• Web application testing experience required both in frontend and backend validations: Web application testing experience is required both in frontend and backend validations.

• Technically well-versed in developing comprehensive test plans covering business use cases and test cases: The selected candidate will need to be technically well-versed in developing comprehensive test plans covering business use cases and test cases.

• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira preferred: Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira is preferred.

• Knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, and SQL, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS: Knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, and SQL, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS is highly desirable.
