Business Resilience Leadership Role

The Director of Business Resilience plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity and resilience of our business operations. This individual will be responsible for integrating business continuity management frameworks and controls with an operational resilience approach, addressing standard and regulatory requirements.

This senior leadership position requires a deep understanding of E-21 Operational Risk & Resilience Management guideline, business continuity management, disaster recovery, and other operational risk categories, risks, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement operational risk management frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Challenge ORM program activities across segments, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  • Establish a consistent template for Segment risk teams to provide review and input.
  • Collaborate with Segment ORRM, IRM, Compliance, Legal, Ops, and Tech colleagues.
  • Design and implement dashboard reporting on progress of activities and outcomes.
  • Promote a strong risk culture and oversee relevant risk culture assessment processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Broad knowledge of financial services/insurance business and related products.
  • In-depth subject matter expertise in Operational Risk Management (second line of defense) with minimum 6-8 years of experience.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Products and data analytics tools like PowerBI is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate key risks and controls.
