  • As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable operations, supporting general ledger functions, and assisting in month-end close activities. You will oversee complex invoice processing, maintain vendor relationships, and mentor junior team members.">

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approval in accordance with company policies.">
  3. Review and verify vendor invoices against contracts and receipts to ensure accuracy and compliance">
  4. Handle complex invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues, working directly with vendors and internal departments to resolve.">
  5. Assist in the preparation of payment runs, ensuring all payments are processed on time and in line with vendor agreements.">
  6. Maintain and update vendor information, ensuring accuracy of records in the accounts payable system.">
  7. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations for accounts payable.">
  8. Ensure VAT, WHT, and income tax compliance in line with local regulations.">
  9. Contribute to the development and implementation of AP policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy within the department.">
  10. Provide training and mentorship to junior accounts payable staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to AP processes and best practices.">
  11. Review and reconcile vendor statements, following up on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution.">
  12. Generate and analyze AP reports to monitor aging and cash flow. Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence for AP-related inquiries.">

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.">
  • Active CPA license.">
  • 5+ years of experience in AP accounting or related financial roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or independent role and a focus on international transactions.">
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial controls.">
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.">
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.">
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.">
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.">
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage vendor relationships.">
