Accounting Specialist Position

We are seeking an accomplished accounting specialist to join our team. As a trusted advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through financial complexities and driving business growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Client Advisory & Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-value clients, providing expert guidance on financial matters.
    • Conduct regular meetings with clients to review financials, identify opportunities, and discuss key performance indicators.
    • Develop and implement tailored solutions to address client needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Team Coaching & Support:
    • Provide mentorship and training to junior accountants and bookkeepers, fostering their professional growth and development.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Oversee the preparation of accurate and comprehensive financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Workflow & Technology:
    • Streamline internal processes and enhance the client experience by leveraging technology and workflow optimization techniques.
    • Ensure the effective use of Karbon and other work management tools to track client work and maintain documentation.

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required).
    • US CMA, CPA, or equivalent designation (CMA strongly preferred).
    • At least 7 years of experience in accounting or controller roles, preferably in a client-facing capacity.
    • Demonstrated success advising small-to-mid-sized business clients and mentoring junior staff.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
