Accounting Manager Position

The role of Accounting Manager is a critical position within our organization. The successful candidate will serve as the right-hand to the Controller, playing a dual role in supporting higher-level initiatives while taking ownership of core accounting processes.

This position requires an individual with strong accounting expertise and business acumen. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their analytical and problem-solving skills to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate creation of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts, providing insights on significant variances.
  • Assist in preparing internal financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and support management with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal financial reporting packages.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, ensuring resolution of discrepancies and maintaining data integrity.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to streamline and automate accounting processes, collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve workflows and reporting capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with hands-on experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
