Cost Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cost Analysis Specialist to join our team. This is a key role in our Supply Base Management department, responsible for delivering competitive material pricing solutions that support growth and margins.

  • Develop and implement cost analysis strategies to optimize pricing and margin expansion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and finance, to determine material pricing strategies.
  • Align on trade-offs between proposal cycle-time, solution precision, and scope with clients to deliver an agreed upon price strategy.
  • Project manage supply chain solutions with commodity management, costing teams, and engineering teams to deliver desired pricing and margin solutions.
  • Prepare material pricing solutions for new business opportunities (bids) and manage ongoing pricing through the lifecycle of the product (re-pricing) including generation of Bill of Material, cost competitive analysis, and margin recommendations.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to support external (customers or suppliers) negotiations.
  • Present proposed solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Analyze trends and model data to leverage insight in service requests.
  • Conduct market research and generate product teardowns to enable competitiveness assessments in service requests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in relevant fields of Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years (preferably 5 years) of working experience in the EMS or an MNC environment.
  • Proven expertise in cost analysis skills, knowledge in material pricing and strategy.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electro-mechanical commodities such as plastic /cables, connectors, modules, PCBs, etc.
  • Experience in successful VA/VE proposals.
  • Proficiency in SAP is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office is a pre-requisite.
