Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our team in Melbourne, Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following industry best practices.
  • Optimize system performance and scalability through efficient database queries and architecture.
  • Design and implement secure database applications, adhering to security standards.
  • Develop test cases and conduct thorough testing of code developed by self and others.
  • Provide support to the development team and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for software systems, APIs, and databases.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work in Melbourne (Australia) hours to align with company head office.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably within telecommunications.
  • Experience working in remote-based teams.
  • Extensive experience in database design, implementation, and management.
  • Proficiency in maintenance programming and enhancing functionality in existing systems.
  • Strong understanding of SQL queries, PHP, and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of the Laravel framework.
  • Initiative to problem solve and work independently and as part of the team.
