Job Summary:
Filinvest Development Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Banquet Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling hotel services, developing new clients, and retaining existing clientele in the various market segments (MICE, Weddings, or Socials) for the purpose of selling and finalizing catering/banqueting services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain close contact with assigned accounts and target accounts through sales calls, phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence, and entertainment.
  • Assess their current and future needs and prospects to uncover other decision makers or reservation makers.
  • Qualify business from in-house sources by meeting with guests at social hours, breakfasts, etc.
  • Document weekly prospecting activities on the Sales Report.
  • Conduct direct selling activities in accordance with assigned sales activity and catering goals for new and current accounts.
  • Conduct competition analysis.
  • Develop and manage catering sales revenue and operation budgets, and provide forecasting reports.
  • Facilitate the execution of the approved Banquet Sales Plan.
  • Develop and ensure implementation of promotions, marketing, and advertising activities to drive catering sales goals.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls.
  • Handle incoming & outgoing correspondence of designated Events Managers.
  • Responsible for assisting the managers in typing/filing correspondence such as proposals, Letters of Agreement, Banquet Event Orders, Group Resumes, Thank You letters, Post Event Summary, etc.
  • Handle photocopying and distribution of all correspondence such as memos, Banquet Event Orders, Letters of Agreement, Group Information Sheet (GIS), etc. to concerned departments.
  • Prepare and distribute group profile outlining in-house arrangements, etc., latest 3 days prior to first arrival.
  • Maintain and update Conventions summary to include all tentative definite bookings and distributes to all departments concerned not later than the 5th of every month. Issues revisions as the need arises.
  • Prepare and distribute the 10-day banquet event summary every Thursday and a 3-day summary daily. Disseminate any updates needed.
  • Update the Group Chart weekly and prepare Lost Business report.
  • Prepare Requests for Payment of event summary every Thursday and a 3-day summary daily. Disseminate any updates needed.
  • Prepare Requests for Payment of entertainers, dancers, and equipment.
  • Maintain a proper filing and trace system for the department.
  • Responsible for maintaining the general tidiness of the department and ensuring sufficient stock of stationery and other office supplies.


Requirements:
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
