Job Description

The Central Queensland Region is seeking a Guidance Officer to join their regional team. This temporary relieving pool position offers opportunities for professionals to make a difference in the lives of students and contribute to the growth and development of the region.

This vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest, and successful applicants will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to provide comprehensive support services to students. The role involves advocating, counseling, and providing individual student support, as well as facilitating effective working relationships with parents, school personnel, and external support agencies.

The ideal candidate will have a Master of Education (Guidance and Counselling) or equivalent psychology degree and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have experience working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a commitment to building inclusive and diverse teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Master of Education (Guidance and Counselling) or equivalent psychology degree;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience working in a similar role;
  • A current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
