Reliability Engineer Leader

This role offers a remote opportunity to work from anywhere, providing the flexibility to achieve a healthy work-life balance. As a Reliability Engineer Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reliability Expertise: We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and reliability vs velocity trade-offs.
  • Culture Change and Adoption: The ideal candidate has proven experience driving SRE adoption and culture change across teams and applications.
  • Incident Management and On-Call Best Practices: Strong knowledge of incident management, on-call practices, and blameless postmortems is essential.
  • Cloud Computing Experience: 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including scaling, workload optimization, network policies, service mesh, and troubleshooting.
  • Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code Expertise: Solid expertise with Kubernetes, including scaling, workload optimization, network policies, service mesh, and troubleshooting, as well as experience with infrastructure as code.
  • Reliability Optimization: Hands-on experience optimizing application performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency in cloud-native environments, including monitoring, logging, and tracing.
  • Automation and Tooling Expertise: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (preferably Python) for automation, reliability tooling, and operational improvements, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release engineering best practices, and expertise in automating reliability tasks.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Application Migration: Hands-on experience migrating applications to SRE operating models in multi-team/multi-application settings.
  • Certification(s): Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes CKA/CKS, or equivalent.
