Reliability and Scalability Engineer - Remote Opportunity

Job Description:

The Reliability and Scalability Engineer will ensure the reliability and scalability of critical applications, working closely with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams to maintain robust infrastructure and automation.

The candidate acts as a bridge between development and operations, applying a software engineering mindset to service management. We seek a motivated, curious individual eager to improve processes and contribute to the growth of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage pipeline build and maintenance per client tooling and standards.
  • Engage in the software development lifecycle, ensuring solutions meet availability, performance, security, and maintainability standards.
  • Monitor system metrics and health, analyze reports.
  • Support production and in-house systems; participate in on-call support.
  • Lead incident management, conduct root cause analysis, and perform post-incident reviews.
  • Implement system security and resiliency measures.
  • Improve processes within the program.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps.
  • Strong domain knowledge in card payments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL & SQL databases (MongoDB, Oracle, Postgres).
  • Experience managing distributed systems and microservices.
  • Familiar with Unix tooling, scripting skills.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace).
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or similar.
  • Understanding of SLOs and SLAs.
