Marivent Hotels and Resorts Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, processing vendor invoices, and maintaining accurate records of purchase orders and expense reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Record financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger entries.
  2. Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate records of purchase orders and expense reports.
  3. Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist in reconciling other financial accounts, including credit card statements and vendor accounts.
  4. Input financial data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all records.
  5. Organize and maintain both digital and physical financial records, including filing invoices, receipts, and other supporting documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting support role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
