Job Overview

We seek a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team, supporting fast-growing businesses in the jewelry retail industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining transaction processing, and supporting key automation initiatives using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial tools.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail bookkeeping is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) accurately.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide retail accounting support, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and POS system integration.
  • Assist with reporting and financial analysis tasks, including generating financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) and identifying trends for cost optimization or revenue improvement.
  • Collaborate with the CFO team to support forecasting and budgeting efforts.
  • Contribute to technology and automation initiatives, including automating workflows using QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, or other integrated tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail or e-commerce setting.
  • Experience in or with the jewelry industry is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and experience using Bill.com is required.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools; able to learn new technology quickly.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
