Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Digital Building Integration Engineer.

This position is responsible for ensuring clients and partners receive high-quality fault detection and diagnostics products.

  • Deliver and support clients and partners with high-quality fault detection and diagnostics products.
  • Collaborate on onboarding projects, communicating timelines and milestones to ensure analytics meets its role in a timely manner at a high level of quality.
  • Conduct onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, discovering data, and organizing for Digital Building Engineers.
  • Troubleshoot diagnostics to perform automated fault detection on customers' HVAC equipment.
  • Review and validate findings reported by software.
  • Train and engage customer and partner users on Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues.
  • Provide ongoing support for connected sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to quickly grasp new technologies.
  • Effective communication with customers and partners.
  • Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree or 5–6 years related industry experience.
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.
  • Exposure to BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ideal candidate has exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement and verification.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering (or a related technical degree) and an interest in building systems or significant field experience in a controls or services company serving the buildings industry.
  • Has a certificate or equivalent experience in basic networking or computer fundamentals (familiar with firewall, server, basic networking commands).
  • Learns technical and engineering solutions quickly and thoroughly, striving to improve upon them.
  • Can communicate technical information effectively to customers over the phone and through emails.
  • Can manage multiple projects, in multiple countries, at the same time.
  • Thorough and analytical with good attention to detail.
  • Can creatively help streamline processes and find efficiencies for executing complex technical tasks.
  • Can conceive and communicate product development ideas to company leadership and product development teams.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where work processes are still being established and constantly refined.
  • Motivated about changing the built environment with new tools, technologies, and business models.
  • Willing to work in a close-knit, passionate environment where communication is key and the learning experience is invaluable.
