\We seek a Python developer to join our team in supporting our operations division. This role offers the opportunity to work with a market-leading SaaS technology platform serving the global network construction industry.
\This position sits at the intersection of software development and operations, ideal for a mid-level Python developer who thrives on solving real-world problems and creating solutions that drive operational efficiency.
\You will design, build, and maintain internal tools and automation systems that streamline workflows for our operations teams and enhance the customer experience.
\The focus is on developing custom scripts and applications to process geospatial data, automate transformation tasks, and manage data pipelines into our databases.
\You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and rapidly deliver impactful tools and solutions.
\- You design, develop, and maintain internal tools and scripts using Python to support operations workflows.
- You develop and optimize ETL processes for spatial data into relational databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
- You automate data transformation and processing pipelines to improve efficiency and maintainability.
- You troubleshoot and support internal tools and workflows in both production and development environments.
- You ensure code quality through version control, testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation.
You'll be a great fit if:
\- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering field.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
- You bring hands-on experience with geospatial tools such as QGIS, GDAL/OGR, Shapely, or GeoPandas.
- You have demonstrated experience in scripting and automating data processing tasks.
- You are proficient in SQL and relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
- You possess strong problem-solving abilities and can work independently from concept through to delivery.
