Staff Accountant Role

This position is responsible for supervising general accounting operations and controlling financial transactions. Responsibilities include reconciling account balances, maintaining the general ledger, preparing month-end close procedures, and ensuring accuracy in all company accounting tasks.


  • Review and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Analyze financial data and create reports on the financial status based on the analysis results.
  • Prepare timely and accurate accounting reports for presentation to executives and senior management.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize accounting systems and detect inaccuracies.
  • Support personnel on accounting control procedures.
  • Supervise accounting assistants and bookkeepers, plan their work, and assign tasks.
  • Participate in forecasting and financial standards setting processes.
  • Organize financial statements and budget preparation.
  • Support tax audits and returns.
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Chief, or Senior Accountant.
  • Proficient experience with typical accounting procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Practical experience with accounting software packages, such as FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
  • Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant certifications will be considered beneficial.
