Accounting Leadership Opportunity

Vault is the leader in providing secure cloud services to government and critical industries. We pioneered the development of sovereign cloud capability with security at its core, being one of the first cloud organisations to be certified by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).

We are entering a defining phase of growth with a strategic investment from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC). This investment will scale Vault's SECRET Cloud and introduce new services directly addressing Australia's strategic national security demands.

To support this growth, we are bolstering our accounting team by adding key roles that are integral to our future success. This is an opportunity to join us at the forefront of technological advancement whilst securing the nation against threats.

This role is completely remote, offering flexibility to work from home. You'll collaborate with leadership to provide critical financial insights driving business forward.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end general ledger processes, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee monthly project costing, departmental reporting, and manage R&D tax rebate submissions.
  • Enhance financial systems: Drive continuous improvement of policies and procedures ensuring efficient, accurate, and scalable systems.
  • Manage external relationships: Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants ensuring timely financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Highly experienced finance professional with strong background supporting Australian businesses.
  • Bachelor degree in commerce and/or accounting and CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Existing Financial Controller or Finance Manager with 10+ years experience supporting an Australian based business preferably with international operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll and GST legislation.
  • Proven experience managing offshore teams and building stakeholder relationships across the business.
  • Experience working in a fast moving environment.
