Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at DOXA Talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper accounting of real estate portfolio transactions and working closely with our clients to meet their financial needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in GAAP, financial reporting, construction, and related loan compliance. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle month-end close process ensuring timely close
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy
  • Prepare monthly construction draws for development and submission to partners and lenders for payment
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements

The Senior Accountant will work closely with our clients to understand their financial needs and provide accurate and timely financial information. They will also be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-saving measures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years' experience in the real estate industry
  • Experience being part of the budgeting team
  • Strong understanding/experience of the CAM reconciliation process
  • Working knowledge of property management/accounting software (preferably Yardi and Sage), Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
