We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our business.

This role involves managing bookkeeping operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while working closely with our teams remotely.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with experience managing finances for multiple businesses or clients. They should be familiar with UK accounting practices and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reconciling bank and credit card accounts on a weekly or monthly basis and providing reports to clients.
  2. Issuing timely invoices for all businesses, reviewing them for discrepancies, and confirming approval before processing.
  3. Recording daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
  4. Preparing key financial statements, including income and payment statements, profit and loss accounts, and aged debtors reports.
  5. Managing accounts payable and receivable records, tracking vendor payments, and recording client payments accurately and on time.
  6. Filling out relevant tax forms and liaising with accountants to ensure compliance with UK tax regulations.
  7. Completing month-end closing procedures by reconciling all accounts and ensuring financial records are up to date.
  8. Maintaining timely and professional communications with clients on financial matters.

The successful candidate will have strong proficiency in Xero and Dext accounting software, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. They must be able to work effectively with clients and internal teams remotely, handle confidential information with the highest level of security, and work efficiently within UK business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM GMT).
