Job Summary

The Acquisitions Analyst role is a key position in our organization, responsible for supporting the acquisition and finance teams with tasks such as financial analysis and modeling, market research, due diligence, investment presentations, and pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform comprehensive financial analysis and underwriting on potential investments to ensure optimal returns.
  2. Review and evaluate offering memoranda and seller-provided materials, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows, to assess investment viability.
  3. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to support informed investment decisions.
  4. Develop high-quality presentation decks to effectively communicate investment opportunities.
  5. Assist in property-level due diligence, including lease review, rent roll, loan documents, and coordination with third parties.
  6. Perform market-level due diligence, including sale and lease comparables and investment trends.
  7. Manage and maintain the acquisition pipeline to ensure timely and efficient deal flow.
  8. Provide administrative support to the acquisition and finance teams as needed.

Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or accounting is preferred, with a strong academic record.
  2. MBA degree is an asset.
  3. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in real estate asset management, finance, or acquisitions is required.
  4. Experience with top consulting firms or financial institutions is highly valued.
  5. Proficiency in underwriting and analyzing real estate opportunities, with a strong understanding of quantitative evaluation and analysis (ROI, cash flow, NOI).
  6. Advanced Excel modeling skills are essential.
  7. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills are necessary to excel in this role.
  8. Unquestionable integrity and ethics are paramount.
  9. A team-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills is crucial for success in this position.
  10. Possession of a passion for commercial real estate and professional growth is desirable.
