Structural Design Expert

The Structural Design Expert is responsible for setting design standards and ensuring the quality and accuracy of structural models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed drawings and create Revit models that meet industry standards, including advanced model execution, model detailing, takeoffs/target value models, and presentation on considerations.
  • Develop and execute project plans by creating a plan of approach, documenting tasks to complete deliverables and estimating hours, committing and executing the plan, and communicating with the project team as needed.
  • Manage client coordination tasks, including proactive communication, collaboration, and coordination with external teams and other disciplines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as seeking out continuing education, participating in professional groups, and updating and improving standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associates or combined education and experience.
  • Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit for Structural Design.
  • At least 3 years of full-time work experience in structural design.
  • Experience in mid-sized structural projects.
  • Proficient in Revit Experience.
  • Working knowledge of Tekla, SDS/2, and/or StrucSoft highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of concrete, steel, wood, light gauge, and/or masonry design.
  • Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed.
