Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with U.S. tax regulations and supporting clients with strategic tax planning and accurate filings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle complex tax compliance and planning for businesses and individuals, including federal, state, and local tax filings.
  • Accurately prepare and file a range of tax returns, including Forms 1120S, 1120, 1065, and 1040.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions and ensure adherence to U.S. tax laws and reporting requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation before submission.
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations and maintain accurate and organized tax records.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams on financial reporting, intercompany transactions, bookkeeping, and payroll-related tax matters.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining organized documentation and ensuring timely reporting.
  • Stay informed on changes to federal, state, and local tax regulations and apply them to maintain ongoing compliance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of experience with US-based accounting firms, focusing on tax accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant with a background in Accountancy.
  • At least one year of experience in a global remote setup with a company based in North America, Europe, Australia, or the UAE.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online; Drake Tax experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in preparing various tax returns: partnerships, S corps, C corps, individuals, and trusts.
  • Strong knowledge of US tax laws, compliance, and multi-state filings.
  • Experienced with Forms 1120S, 1120, 1065, and 1040.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel and familiar with Microsoft Suite or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership with a results-driven mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with expertise in complex reconciliations and tax documentation.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable using time-tracking software (Hubstaff, Clockify, etc.).
