Job Description:

This role is responsible for leading modeling initiatives within the risk organization, developing and enhancing score models using traditional methods as well as new AI/ML techniques. The successful candidate will work closely with the tech team to lay out ML Ops pipelines and structure for rapid rollout and automated monitoring of models.

  • Leads the development and enhancement of existing machine learning models, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Oversees the testing and validation of lending models, ensuring they exhibit predictive power, stability, and reliability.
  • Establishes a robust framework for ongoing monitoring and performance evaluation of lending models, including tracking model accuracy, calibration, and effectiveness;
  • Produces regular reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, highlighting model performance, changes, and potential impacts on the bank's portfolio;
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive lending models strategy that aligns with the bank's overall goals and risk appetite.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing or managing development teams creating scorecards and models for risk management, particularly in credit risk – application, collections, portfolio management etc.
  • Able to collect, organize, analyze, model, visualize, & present information with accuracy & efficiency
  • Background in various statistical &/or quantitative modeling techniques
  • Understands credit/market operations, policies & processes of a bank as well as BSP & international guidelines on credit/market risk management
