Job Description

As a senior business analyst, you will play a key role in driving the success of our insurance business by analyzing and understanding complex business environments and systems landscapes.

You will be responsible for gathering and documenting business and client project requirements, capturing context, current state, desired outcomes, and objectives. This involves developing comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs) that are clear, unambiguous, and suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additionally, you will present detailed requirements to stakeholders to obtain consensus and buy-in. You will also review and evaluate proposed solutions for alignment with business and customer needs, highlighting key risks.

Furthermore, you will collaborate with product teams to design and implement solutions that align with the company's data-led strategy. You will assess and manage the impact of requirements on data systems and business processes.

Lastly, you will support development, systems testing, UAT, and implementation by working closely with solution partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Analyze the current and future business environment and systems landscape.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business analysis, data science, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a business analyst, with a focus on data systems and management.
  • Proven success in business and quality analysis roles involving complex project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing abilities at all organisational levels.
  • Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., user stories, process flowcharting, requirements documentation).
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with project management and change platforms (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Open Project, Azure).
