Structural Design Lead

Our organization seeks a skilled Structural Design Lead to establish modeling standards, ensure the accuracy and quality of models, and oversee project plans.

The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, participate in ongoing improvement activities, and work closely with the project team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop structural drawings and Revit models that meet high-quality standards, including quality checks, advanced model execution, model detailing, takeoffs/target value models, construction documents, special conditions/complex family creation, and presentation on considerations.
  • Execute the Sprint plan by creating and communicating a plan of approach, understanding and documenting tasks, committing and executing the plan, and reconciling the plan with the project team as needed.
  • Manage client coordination tasks, including proactive and effective communication, collaboration and coordination with other disciplines, identifying underdeveloped areas, and delivering projects to meet client expectations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as seeking out continuing education, participating in material groups, updating and improving standards and best practices, and growing proficiency in materials, markets, and project types.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associates or combined education and experience.
  • Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit for Structural Design.
  • At least 3 years of full-time work experience in structural design.
  • Experience in mid-sized structural projects.
  • At least 3 years of Revit Experience.
  • Working knowledge of Tekla, SDS/2, and/or StrucSoft highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of concrete, steel, wood, light gauge, and/or masonry design.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function independently – self-directed worker.
