We are seeking a talented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be able to manage daily accounting tasks with a focus on accounts payable.

Job Description

This role is responsible for handling accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, manual check applications, aging reports, and account reconciliations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for recording routine journal entries and bank transactions, entering AP bills and credit card transactions as needed, and assisting with month-end closing and account reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–2 years of experience in accrual-based accounting, including AR, journal entries, month-end close, and bank reconciliations.
  • Dependable with a track record of regular and reliable attendance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • High attention to detail with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; organized and able to prioritize independently.

Other Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
