Draftsman Freelance Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Draftsman to join our team as a Freelance Drafter. This role involves working closely with engineering partners, providing prompt customer and permitting support, and maintaining organized documentation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive, and dedicated individual to deliver exceptional work that supports our company's growth and commitment to excellence.

  • Generate lot-specific drawings and revise existing plan documents with engineering details.
  • Organize work for computer access and provide timely support to builders on-site.
  • Expedite permitting by liaising with city/county staff and communicate with engineering partners' work for accuracy and value engineering.
Job Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have experience in residential construction or home remodeling drafting, with familiarity with building codes and permitting standards in WA and OR. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to conduct internet research using local GIS are essential skills.

Key Skills:

Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders are also crucial for this position. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required.
